Priorities 2010/11

By funding new technology, equipment and valuable, innovative programs, the Foundation ensures that those who use our Hospital continue to receive the very best in medical care.

The following priority reflects the ongoing development of the Sturgeon as an outstanding Community Hospital.  This year our primary emphasis will be the upgrading of the existing Digital Operating Rooms.

Digital Operating Rooms ($250,000)

The delivery of health care has been signficantly affected by the digital world.  Digital operating rooms allow our surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgeries which provide immeasurable benefits to the patient.  It is less traumatic, promotes faster healing and allows the patient to return to a full productive life sooner.

An additional benefit to having digital operating rooms is the ability to do a broader scope of specialized orthopedic surgeries and the ability to perform combined procedures in one operation.
